This month's topic: Green Labeling
Forestry. Water. Vinyl. Cascadia has issued a call to action identifying the green building movement's most crucial and controversial points. How do we evaluate the sustainable attributes of green building materials and products? Choices around these issues influence the success of LEED and, the Living Building Challenge projects. A panel of experts from industry, academia and the non-profit sector will offer insight into this important aspect of green building. The presentation will be based on their research into various aspects of green labeling systems and multi-criteria decision making. In a world of information overload this group will help project teams make better decisions while also leaving them with the tools for critically questioning the use of one material over another.
Panel of Presenters include:
Mona Narayan, Technical Sales Advisor (INDUSTRY - FORBO)
Rob Sianchuk, Seassional Lecturer (UBC Civil Engineering Department) and Research Associate with the Athena Sustainable Materials Institue (ACADEMIA - UBC)
Helen Goodland, Executive Director (NON-PROFIT - LIGHT HOUSE)
