Portland Branch:  Executive Committee

The Executive Committee for the Portland Branch of Cascadia is a volunteer organization, with representatives from a broad spectrum of Portland's diverse green building community.  The group meets on the 4th Monday of every month at SERA architects.

 Roles & Responsibilities:

1.        Manage Branch finances

           ·          Authority to approve/deny proposed expenses (max amount of $500)

           ·          Implement budget as determined by the Steering Committee

2.        Propose new directions for Steering Committee

            ·          Flesh out new ideas in advance and prioritize them

            ·          Pre-vet new proposals from Steering Committee members

3.        Set  agenda for Steering Committee meetings

            ·          Liaison with Sub-committee chairs and filter issues

4.        Keep strategic priorities set by the Steering Committee in forefront and keep Sub-committee activities aligned

5.        Create & implement communication strategy

6.        Pre-vet partner organizations to work with and coordinate partnership with other organizations

7.        Set minimum requirements for subcommittee formation
