Welcome to Cascadia's Inland Branch!
![]() |
The Inland Empire Branch (ILB) officially joined Cascadia in 2005 becoming one of the first branches formed outside the Portland-Seattle corridor. Serving an immediate population of over 500,000, the ILB has far reaching effects with member’s working on green building projects throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. The Inland Branch of the Cascadia GBC supports the green building movement in the greater Spokane region and attempts to change the built environment to move towards sustainability- socially, economically and environmentally. We play a grass roots role in activating and educating people. Our current make up includes architect’s, landscape architect’s, mechanical, electrical, civil engineers, and builders. We are always on the lookout for new green building related people to add to the mix and for any sort of green building related educational opportunity. We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the eight winter months (October to May) for LEED User Groups (LUGs). We discuss a specific LEED credit or green building topic in depth and have a Q&A session with the presenter. In addition, the ILB sponsors or co-sponsors several area-wide green building education workshops and seminars throughout the year. Some of our more recent partnerships have been with the Spokane Chapters of the AIA and ASHRAE. |
