LEED Green Associate Exam Study Session

Passing the LEED exam requires a working knowledge of LEED and green building as well as the ability to apply that knowledge to LEED project situations. This study session provides a review of LEED project administration, the credits and points in each LEED category, and how they are applied on real projects. Homework problems challenge participants to develop a working understanding of the LEED system. Role play exercises will allow participants to practice applying LEED in the way they will be tested on the exam.  The session will target key information necessary to pass the LEED GA Exam, including:

o    Small Group Exercises: Hands-on activities/practical applications related to LEED Categories

o    Presentations on the LEED Exam structure, content, and test taking tips

o    Practice Exams and Quizzes

o    Discussion on LEED Categories and credit synergies

Full-Day How to Facilitate an Integrated Design Process

The Integrated Design Process, which utilizes the eco-charrette technique, is a new model for team communication and information sharing that maximizes design goals and benefits, while minimizing project cost and impact. Gain the tools and techniques to actively participate in collaborative project decision-making - a necessary element for creating cost-effective and environmentally sound buildings.

This full day workshop has been designed for people who will play a
leading or support role in the facilitation of IDP and want to improve their
skills and ability to design, facilitate, and enable this process.

The workshop takes an in-depth look at the art and practice of facilitating
the integrated design process. It will focus on IDP through the lens of
facilitation in order to better understand the purpose of this role, how the -
integrated design process itself is designed, the skills required for effective facilitation of IDP, and tools and strategies to use in the facilitation of integrated design.

Presented in partnership with CaGBC.
