Leadership Roles Open with Emerging Professionals PDX

Emerging Green Builders (EGB) has transitioned into Emerging Professionals (EP). This is following the lead of the National EGB decision to change the name. The Portland Chapter of EP is holding elections for leadership roles in Portland next month and they would like to encourage that any EGB/EP member under 29 apply! Details can be found below about open roles and responsibilities.

Please Submit the following by July 21st (Deadline extended!) to shainas(at)hbapdx.org:

A) A brief profile that can be posted on the website that includes information about your related experience and what qualifies you to be the communications chair or Portland Chair of EP.

B) A copy of your drivers license. To be eligible to hold a leadership position within EP you must be 29 or younger.

C) Be available and prepared to make a 2 minute speech at the Emerging Professionals meeting on August 3rd.
Shaina will email applicants directly for the location and time of the Election Meeting on August 3rd.

 

Oregon State chair of the emerging professionals

Chair Responsibilities

 

 

(a) Be available to support efforts of Student and Satellite groups in their area for what is considered a responsible amount of time by a majority vote of this committee, and respond promptly to inquiries from EP members in their region.

(b) Sit as EP representative on their local Cascadia Branch Steering Committee.

(c) Attend majority of Cascadia EP Leaders meetings and gatherings annually. (Several times a year).

(d) Initiate, plan and carry out programming in collaboration with Cascadia Chapter Branch if applicable.

(e) Keep Regional Chair informed of EP Branch events and initiatives.

(f) If you miss more than 3 consecutive EP regularly scheduled meetings, a replacement will be found.

 

Portland Chair of the Emerging Professionals

Chair responsibilities

(a) Be available to support efforts of Student and Satellite groups in their area for what is considered a reasonable amount of time by a majority vote of this committee, and respond promptly to inquires from EP members in their region.

(b)  Attend majority of Cascadia EP Leaders meetings and gatherings annually. (Couple times a year)

(c) Initiate, plan and carry out monthly meetings/events on the first Tuesday of the month in collaboration with Cascadia Chapter Branch if applicable.

(d) Keep State Chair informed of EP communication events and possible web ideas and initiatives.

(e) If you miss more than 3 consecutive EP regularly scheduled meeting, a replacement will be found.

 

Communications Chair of the Emerging Professionals

Chair responsibilities

(a) Be available to support efforts of Student and Satellite groups in their area for what is considered a reasonable amount of time by a majority vote of this committee, and respond promptly to inquires from EP members in their region.

(b) Be available to upload and update items to the Cascadia EP website frequently.

(c) Attend majority of Cascadia EP Leaders meetings and gatherings annually. (Several times a year)

(d) Initiate, plan and carry out communications in collaboration with Cascadia Chapter Branch if applicable.

(e) Keep State Chair informed of EP communication events and possible web ideas and initiatives.

(f) If you miss more than 3 consecutive EP regularly scheduled meeting, a replacement will be found.
