Michelle Long is the Executive Director and co-founder of Sustainable Connections and has been actively working to creatively address social and environmental challenges through business for over a decade. Sustainable Connections is an award-winning non-profit that has received kudos from elected officials, the media, other non-profits, and the general public for their successes towards transforming and modeling an economy built on sustainable practices. Michelle is the co-author of Local First: a How to Guide, and teaches workshops on creating effective networks of sustainable businesses, and successful community campaigns.

The Transformational Lecture Series aims to inspire all building industry professionals to embrace their role in creating a sustainable built environment now, as well as ensuring that sustainability becomes integral to all development in the future.
