Topic LEED for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB): Challenges &
Lessons Learned In this VLUG, Dan will draw upon his extensive LEED project
experience and discuss sustainable strategies successfully applied in LEED-EB.
Speaker Dan Roberts, Dip. Eng. Design, LEED AP, Associate,
Recollective Consulting
Prior to joining Recollective, Dan worked as a Sustainability Researcher at Busby Perkins + Will and
as a Project Manager and Sustainable Analyst at Stantec (formerly Keen Engineering). Dan has
consulted on multiple LEED projects including Moss Landing Marine Laboratories (LEED-EB Gold certified)
and BC Cancer Research Centre (LEED-NC Gold Certified).
Dan was also the Sustainability/LEED coordinator for Dockside Green, a 1.3 million SF mixed use development in
Victoria, and is currently the LEED Project Manager for Millennium Water, a 1.4 million SF mixed use development
in South East False Creek, Vancouver. He also served on a CaGBC LEED Assessor team reviewing LEED project
applications.

in real-world projects.
