This workshop includes a speaker session in the morning,
lunch, and an interactive afternoon session for municipal
representatives and others to provide input to the province on the
forthcoming BC Green Building Code.
Speakers for the morning session will include Rob Bennett, formerly
with the City of Vancouver Sustainability Group and currently with the
Clinton Climate Initiative, a program of partnering with the world's
largest cities to reduce CO2 and other emissions; Trudy Rotgans,
Manager of the Building Policy Branch will speak about the development
of the BC Green Building Code. Other speakers include Resort
Municipality of Whistler Mayor Ken Melamed; Mayor Darrell R. Mussatto
of North Vancouver; Kim Fowler, Port Coquitlam Director of Development
Services; Judy Brownoff, District of Saanich Councillor and Matt Horne,
Pembina Institute who has worked on the City of Dawson Creek
sustainability initiatives.
