LEED WEEK Fall 07
Coming to Portland October 15-19, 2007 – LEED WEEK!
In order to provide regularly scheduled LEED training for the burgeoning green building community, Cascadia is consolidating LEED workshops into a quarterly event: LEED WEEK. Cascadia members and other interested individuals will now be able to depend on a regular circuit of LEED educational activities and more easily plan to meet their training needs.

- LEED Technical Reviews for all rating systems
- LEED project management
- LEED for specific sectors of the building industry
LEED WEEK Fall 07 will feature the following workshops:
Monday, October 15: LEED for New Construction Technical Review Workshop
Gain the knowledge needed to maximize building performance, to achieve LEED certification and to take the LEED Professional Accreditation Exam. This is an excellent opportunity for industry professionals to increase their understanding of the LEED for New Construction Rating System and green building strategies, benefits and resources. No prior knowledge of LEED necessary.

Wednesday, October 17: Build it LEED! for Contractors
Learn the complete, step-by-step process for managing the construction of LEED projects from preconstruction to documentation. Designed for construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors, construction companies, and builders, this training will get you and your company ready to implement LEED on your next project, including preparation of the LEED documentation required from contractors.

Thursday, October 18: Tour of the Buchan Building (5:30pm - 6:30PM)
Join the Portland Branch for a tour of the newly constructed Buchan Building, the new Education and Community Center for the First Unitarian Church of Portland that is expecting to achieve a rating of LEED Gold.
