Building Simulation Users' Group (BSUG) Monthly Meeting

This month’s topic is: Calculating Building Carbon Footprints: Mitchell J. Dec  - Glumac, Christopher F. Galati, P.E. - NW Natural
 
Mitch will provide a definition of what carbon emissions are, how a carbon footprint is calculated, and how a carbon footprint analysis can be related to energy modeling. Nitrous oxide (NOX) and sulfuric oxide (SOX) emissions will also be addressed.  Tie-ins to the 2030 Challenge (carbon-neutral by 2030) will be discussed.
 
Chris will address gas company perspectives on carbon emissions, through their Smart Energy Program as well as examining the roles of CHP and biogas in relation to these issues.
