The purpose of the July BSUG session is to present a case study of an elementary school in Springfield, OR which is participating in the High Performance Schools Program.  The project is unique in that it employs a two-pipe changeover HVAC system.  As the design team embarked on the energy modeling in eQUEST, a number of challenges were encountered.    The presentation will include the following topics:

•  Background on the project including the motive for selecting a two-pipe system

•  A short synopsis of how a two-pipe system works

•  Code regulations affecting the mechanical design and energy model

•  Setting up the hydronic system in eQUEST

•  Inputting of code regulations in the eQUEST model

•  Problems encountered with the model, and;

•  Troubleshooting techniques employed.
