Please join us to learn what a Portland-based consortium is doing to help reconstruct safe and sustainable schools in Sichuan Province following the May 12 earthquake. Organized by the China - U.S. Center for Sustainable Development, an Oregon team of architects, engineers and energy experts have just returned from design workshops in China. The team will share experiences and discuss how you can get involved.
Also, Miyamoto Engineering will share photos of their dramatic post earthquake visit and Yumei Wang, the State of Oregon’s Geohazards Team Leader, will speak on lessons learned from the China earthquake for Oregon Schools.
