This course will clarify the new LEED Professional Credential Program and prepare participants to complete focused study and successfully sit for the LEED Green Associates exam.  The LEED Green Associate (LEED GA) Professional credential provides verification of foundational knowledge in green building and LEED.

Course Overview

The intended audience for this program is those that are not currently LEED professionals and either: 1) want to demonstrate foundational proficiency in green building and LEED through the LEED GA accreditation; or, 2) intend to pursue the next tier of LEED Accreditation, LEED Professional with Specialty, which is designed for professionals directly applying LEED or green building on projects in their regular practice. The LEED GA exam is a prerequisite to attain the LEED Professional with Specialty credential.

Examples of disciplines that might pursue only the LEED GA accreditation include manufacturers, administrative staff in a design or construction company, students, marketing professionals, corporate sustainability coordinators and other fields that support, but do not directly implement, LEED or green building.

This course fulfills the eligibility requirements to take the LEED GA exam.

The course will be led by expert staff from Green Building Services (GBS), which leverages its direct, applied experience on hundreds of green building and LEED projects and work authoring the LEED 2009 Reference Guides and Exam Prep Study Guides to deliver an engaging and valuable exam prep experience.

Supplemental Materials

Green Building Services will email digital handouts of the presentation slides after the session. In addition to GBS instruction and guidance delivered through this training program, participants will also want access to the following supplemental materials to support their exam preparation efforts. We will not be reviewing supplemental materials in detail during the presentation so it is not mandatory to bring them.

LEED Exam Prep Study Guides: ~$35 anticipated (under development by GBS for USGBC and release in November 2009):
