This two-hour session is geared for builders, subcontractors, realtors, architects, designers, and everyone else who would like to apply sustainable building practices to homes. Our Green Building Consultants will compare the philosophy, necessity and benefits of various sustainable building programs such as NAHB, ENERGY STAR, Earth Advantage, and LEED for Homes. After this session, you will be able to:
- Explain the link between high performance building envelopes and energy efficiency, indoor air quality and materials selection;
- Describe the importance of the integrated design process and life cycle cost analysis when designing a high performance home.
- List healthy and efficient concepts, products and services;
- Realize the value of green homes in today’s market; and
- Discover the future of residential building from local experts.
