Topic: FSC-Certified Wood: Protecting Our Forests While You Build
Mike Barnes and Twila Jacobsen of Cascadia Forest Goods will discuss the importance of sourcing wood from well-managed forests, the differences between Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification and other certification systems, current requirements for attaining LEED credits through certified wood, guidelines for sourcing and specifications for certified wood products and the proposed changes for upcoming versions of LEED in regards to wood product certification.
Join us as we kick off a new year of Branch meetings in Eugene.
