Business leaders are invited to learn about practical solutions to make businesses more sustainable. The third session in The Sustainable Business Series will focus on improving a building’s efficiency and performance with affordable renovations, June 5, 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at Vancouver’s Water Resources Education Center.
Local green building expert and principal at Green Building Services, Elaine Aye, will present cost-efficient and simple sustainable building solutions. In addition, the session will offer insight into how business leaders can utilize recent Washington state legislation, including sustainability initiatives, tax credits, and additional incentive programs to help fund projects.
The education series is presented by ShoreBank Pacific, a sustainable community development bank based in Ilwaco, Wash., with offices in Portland and Seattle, in partnership with the City of Vancouver and the Columbia River Economic Development Council. The events are designed to provide an overall understanding of the economics of sustainability, and provide a framework for businesses to improve both their financial and environmental performance.
