Join the Portland Branch of Cascadia USBGC and AIA Portland’s Committee On The Environment (COTE) for a green building tour of the High Performance Classroom Demonstration project under construction at da Vinci Arts Middle School.

Combining learning with sustainability, the new High Performance Music Classroom will demonstrate energy efficiency and green building practices in Portland Public Schools. Recipient of a Green Investment Fund grant from the City of Portland, this building will house the music classroom and practice space for the school’s band and music program while demonstrating the District’s ethic of conservation through energy and resource efficiency. The building is designed to satisfy the highest nationally recognized green building criteria (LEED Platinum) and will excel in energy performance by using several smart passive systems.
