Topic: On-Site Solar in Oregon--1.5% for Solar Requirements, Incentives, 3rd Party SOlar
The June PLUG event will begin with a presentation covering the basics of on-site solar photovoltaic systems for buildings in Oregon, including: photovoltaic fundamentals, tax credits and incentives, financial analysis, 3rd party solar and power purchase agreements, and the 1.5% for solar requirement for public buildings. The presentation will be followed by an interactive discussion where PLUG participants share their experiences with incorporating on-site solar into projects.
The Portland LEED User's Group (PLUG) meets on the second Thursday of every month from 12:00 - 1:30 pm, to discuss topics related to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System. Attendees of these meetings represent many disciplines within Portland's green building community, and new attendees are always is welcome.
