937 is a 16 story 115 unit condo located in the heart of the Pearl District. It uses building systems common in the Pearl, but in a different way. Known for it’s fractal inspired skin geometry and innovative unit layouts, 937 is also a model of sustainable organic design. The condo is now anticipating a LEED Platinum Rating. It’s sustainable story is one of common sense conceptual massing combined w/ detailing that finds the synergies between building systems.
This Cascadia Green Building Tour will focus on how high design and green design, are combined into ONE design. Points will be discussed inside and outside the LEED Rating system. Join us for an interactive presentation and a tour of the organic modern condo, 937.
Some of the sustainable ideas that will be presented:
• Affect of Concrete Structure on Thermal Mass Modeling
• Effective Use of In Slab Duct Work
