Attendees will learn, in basic terms, about LED technology and its recent emergence as a very viable complement or alternative to traditional lighting in the home or office. Like many emerging technologies, LED lighting and how to best apply it can be a confusing topic for people as the products are changing quickly and their use in general lighting applications is still very limited. Learn some basic LED features and what to look for when considering them for your project to avoid the pitfalls of selecting a low quality or disappointing product. A demonstration kit with a selection of lights will be available as well as information on the cost/power consumption/lifetime benefit when compared with common existing/traditional lighting technologies.

Bio - Courtney has worked in the high technology electronics sector for the past 20+ years in Technical Sales and Management roles in Vancouver and Seattle. He has been involved with many of the technology leaders in the LED industry and has become very familiar with the various forms of this technology as it has evolved through the years. Courtney resides in Langley, BC,  currently works for a global electronics distributor and has recently assisted in the launch of an LED lighting supply company.
