Join the Portland Branch for a green building tour of the recently completed East Portland Community Center Addition. The
addition includes a new family leisure pool (with water slide, a lazy river, warm water lap lanes, and play features), spa and,
4-lane lap pool.

Targeting LEED Platinum certification, the project has documented exemplary performance in daylighting, energy efficiency, and material reuse.

Since water consumption is a prominent feature of an aquatics center, water conservation is where this project will achieve its greatest success. Design strategies include: potable water savings through plumbing fixtures and fittings, and an advanced pool filtration system that will dramatically reduce the quantity of water used for pool filtration.
