Government House is a candidate for LEED Gold certification from the
Canada Green Building Council and is a showcase for BC building
products and materials. It is truly a green building with green
operating policies and practices established by the UBCM Executive
Highlights that we have explained in internal signage and that we can talk about on the tour include:

- recycled materials
- green construction
- indoor air quality
- energy efficiency and green power
- water efficiency
- storm water management
- comprehensive waste management
