WHO: is responsible for getting local sustainable wood into local buildings?
THE GOOD WOOD TOUR, presented by the non‐profit Build Local Alliance, is a unique opportunity for consumers, local builders, architects andsuppliers to explore a
sustainably managed forest in Western Oregon andan adjoining custom sawmilling
operation and speak directly with their owners.

THE EXPERIENCE includes a walk in a FSC certified forest and a sawmill
demonstration. You will hear from industry experts about the costs and benefits of local
sustainable forestry and the management of FSC forest and chain‐of‐custody certification.
DETAILS Meet@ Portland Ecohaus store (819 SE Taylor St.) for coffee at 8:30 am.
Depart at 9 am on 1.5 hour trip to Zena Woods near Rickreall, OR. Return to Portland by 3:30
Please bring a lunch; morning coffee, pastries and light afternoon snacks will be provided.
We will provide transport by van. Space is limited ‐please RSVP to reserve a seat.
