Change and Resilience
We all understand Gandhi’s famous dictum, “Be the change you want to see.” Global climate chaosand its effects on global ecological systemswill be with us for a millennium. How will we exist with a change we didn’t want to see? The answer lies in resiliency--in our own beings and in everything we conceive and design to support human life and the life of all beings. It means resilient communities, institutions, environments, minds and hearts.
Sim Van der Ryn is a visionary, author, educator, public leader, and internationally distinguished pioneer in ecological design with 40 years of experience at the forefront of integrating ecological principles into the built environment.
Doors open at 5:00pm, lecture starts at 5:30pm.
