What
The fourth annual Muddy Boot Organic Festival weekend kicks off with a keynote address on Friday, September 11, by world-renowned environmental activist Bill McKibben, cofounder of the grassroots climate-change activist organization 350.org and author of Deep Economy: The Wealth of Communities and the Durable Future and other works. Opening remarks will be given by Oregon’s former Secretary of State Bill Bradbury.
The festivities will continue September 12 and 13 in a vibrant, bustling, outdoor sustainability-themed festival featuring live music, sustainably produced foods and beverages, the Muddy Boot Marketplace, information booths, educational workshops and panels (including one featuring Mayor Sam Adams), and fun activities for families and children. The live music lineup includes musical performers Weinland, Portland Cello Project, Stephanie Schneiderman, Freak Mountain Ramblers, the March Fourth Marching Band and others.
