Topic: Focus on Site & Stormwater with City of Portland BES
Speaker: Dawn Uchiyama, Portland Bureau of environmental services
Dawn Uchiyama from the PDX Bureau of Environmental Services will discuss the Green Streets program, stormwater issues, and how the BES procedures are being streamlined. BES regulation and LEED will be discussed. We hope to look at ways to go beyond LEED and possibly what might qualify for ID credits. Also, as a representative from the “procedures” staff, she will be looking for discussion, feedback, and suggestions regarding BES. This is a great opportunity to discuss directly with a department representative.
The Portland LEED User's Group (PLUG) meets on the second Thursday of every month from 12:00 - 1:30 pm, to discuss topics related to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System.
