As the only ecological design conference developed and managed by
students, HOPES works to promote a deeper understanding and broader
application of sustainable design principles.  This year, an exciting
lineup of interdisciplinary experts will investigate the role of design as
we make the shift from the industrial era to a more information-based
society.  HOPES features nationally recognized keynote speakers, expert
panel discussions, hands-on sustainability workshops, a 24-hour design
charrette for the Em’s baseball stadium, environmental art, lunch and
speaker‘s dinner catered by Holy Cow, the Trashy Fashion Show, live music
by the Water Tower Bucket Boys, and more!
