Jonathan Kemp will be the guest speaker for the December 2nd TOLUG meeting in Tacoma. He is principal and owner of EnCo Environmental Corporation. EnCo is a natural resource environmental consulting and GIS mapping company located in Puyallup that has been performing services in the Pacific Northwest since 1996.
The presentation will highlight the key elements of the USGBC LEED Neighborhood Development rating system and demonstrate how the system will be used to promote the principles of sustainable development. Using the LEED ND system is intended to help promote improved neighborhood planning and urban development. LEED ND contains three components: Smart Location and Linkage, Neighborhood Pattern and Design and Green Infrastructure and Buildings. The December presentation will speak to Smart Location and Linkage.
