This event will be of particular interest to those entering the Natural Talent Design Competition for insight into how to design their project in line with the local New Orleans' environment & culture.
The Petal Series lectures are presented by
EGB l PDX each year in conjunction with the USGBC's Natural Talent
Design Competition (NTDC). Each lecture focuses on one aspect of the
NTDC requirements to help teams develop their competition entries. This year's NTDC Focuses on the rebuilding effort in
New Orleans by designing a "LEED for Homes" project that is priced
affordably and is functional for elderly occupants. The Cascadia region
is also adding a challenging twist to the regional competition by
asking each team to highlight how at least one petal of the Living
Building Challenge has been incorporated into their entry. To learn more about the NTDC, visit: www.usgbc.org/designcompetition To learn more about the Living Building Challenge, visit: www.ilbi.org/the-standard/version-2-0 Please join us each Tuesday evening in February at various locations to hear from our great speakers!
