The Oregon Law Institute at Lewis & Clark College Presents:

Green Business Law: Risks, Regulations, and Realities

While this event targets lawyers that are interested in the intersection of sustainable business and the law, the topics also appeal to a broader audience. The event will cover emerging regulations and issues related to green business, construction, marketing, and energy. This Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminar brings together professionals and practitioners to provide regulatory updates, help understand permitting and compliance issues, identify legal risks, and discuss ways for businesses to finance sustainability initiatives. You will learn about:

* Current and expected greenhouse gas regulations, from reporting and permitting stationary source emissions to Oregon's low carbon fuel standard.

* Shifting risk in green building contracts, green leasing, and Oregon's new green building codes.

* Permitting renewable energy projects, including ocean energy.

The CLE will also provide critical updates on green advertising rules, Oregon's business energy tax credit program, and other financial incentive programs.
