Topic: Energy Audits: Gathering Data for Building Simulation Model Calibration
Speakers: David F. Moser, P.E., Senior Engineer and Christopher Morales, Engineer, Portland Energy Conservation, Inc.
Description:
Whole building simulation modeling can be a great tool to use for evaluating potential energy savings related to measures identified as part of an energy audit. But what information/data can be gathered during the audit that will be most useful for calibrating a building simulation model? This presentation will provide an overview of energy audits, and information/data that can be gathered during an audit to help calibrate a building simulation model.
This is the first of two sessions on existing buildings, the second will focus on the accurate modeling or calibration using audit data.
It is hoped that members will bring examples and questions to both sessions for discussion.
All that enrolled members need to do to register for this event is to click on the link (http://www.energytrust.org/bsug), enter their email address, preferences and finally click on register.
