Description:
Methane generation has been utilized as a renewable energy source for many years. This discussion will present a large, central project at Oregon’s largest dairy farm developed by NW Natural. The major points to be addressed are:
- Why is NW Natural involved
- Why is it important
- How does the process work
- How much does it cost
- What are the available technologies
- What is the output of the process
- How is the gas processed prior to use
- Feedstock source
- What the plant does for carbon emissions
- Lessons learned
- Next steps
The plant is in operation and there will be a discussion of the lessons learned and the next steps in the development of the process.
