Seattle – People spend 90 percent of their times indoors, creating a great impact on our everyday lives and how we perform at work and feel at home. With buildings also using 40 percent of energy in the United States, they also have a great impact on our nation’s environment as a whole.
As part of its outreach to the community, the Puget Sound Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers is holding a presentation on building modeling on September 15, 2010.
"Modeling a Sustainable World" will be presented by Lynn Bellenger, Society President of ASHRAE, an internationally recognized expert in the building industry.
ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is an international organization of some 50,000 persons. ASHRAE fulfills its mission of advancing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education.
