Please join us February 2nd to tour Oregon's newest renewable heat energy installation at Estacada High School! This project converted the school heating system from petroleum-based fuels to locally-produced wood pellets. We invite you to tour the facility, meet the key folks that made the project a reality, and engage in a discussion about the potential of wood-based heat in other green building applications. Green building professionals will qualify for 1.5 Continuing Education hours (CEs) that can be self-reported as a live presentation with the Green Building Certification Institute.
The tour is FREE but please RSVP online.
Participants should meet at the Ecotrust Building at noon and we plan to return by 5:00pm. Transportation to/from Estacada will be provided. A sack lunch will also be provided. If you wish to meet in Estacada, please meet the tour at 1:30 pm at the Estacada High School.
This tour is being jointly hosted by Sustainable Northwest and Cascadia Green Building Council. Please direct logistical questions to Dimitra Giannakoulias (dimitra@sustainablenorthwest.org). Direct content questions to either Chad Davis (cdavis@sustainablenorthwest.org) or Kelley Beamer (kelley.beamer@cascadiagbc.org).
