In our efforts to green this event, all participant travel will be offset by Renewable Energy Certificates from 3 Degrees. You have chosen to purchase your own RECs. With the carbon calculator below, you may calculate your carbon footprint and purchase the appropriate amount of RECs necessary to offset your travel to and from engineeringgreen. But first, a couple of instructions before you begin:

1. This calculator is set up to calculate the carbon footprint of your lifestyle. But you do not need to do so, if now is not the appropriate time for that. Instead, we suggest that you skip calculating your Home Electricity and just calculate either your Car Travel or Air Travel - whichever is appropriate for you.

2. In order to calculate your Car Travel for just this conference, determine your total mileage to and from the conference and divide it by 12. That result will be the number you will enter in the "Miles per Month" box.
