W04: Environmental impacts of water
An understanding of how the built environment impacts water quality and quantity is central to approaching the design process in a way that respects the fact that our world’s water resources are imperiled. By understanding the hydrological cycle and basic aquatic toxicology, the building design and construction industry can anticipate and avoid unwanted impacts on our water resources.
