Organic Beer and Bike

Celebrate the end of the conference by partaking in two things Portland is known for -- biking and beer!

No bike? No problem: Waterfront Bicycles is offering a 50% discount on bike rentals for up to 15 Living Future attendees. Register now to reserve a bike!

We'll meet at Waterfront Bicycles and start the adventure with a quick tour of their green remodel.

Then, we’ll ride across the Willamette to the Rivereast Center, a unique developed abandoned warehouse, for a short tour.

The group will then take a 3 mile bypass and ride through the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge via the Springwater Corridor.

From there, we'll head to a Roots Organic Brewery in SE Portland to drink a tasty organic and local ale (or two).

Then you can return to Waterfront Bicycles or explore more of the city yourself. There's also the chance to ride directly to the closing night after-party at Doug Fir Lounge, which is a few blocks from Roots Brewery.

Expect to spend about 2.5 hours, ride about 6 miles round trip, and drink at least 1 delicious brew!

Time: Meet at 4:30pm. Tour will end around 6:30pm. If you need to rent a bike, we recommend you arrive a little early, so the tour can be ready to go at 4:30pm.

Where: Meet at Waterfront Bicycles - 10 SW Ash St. #100 (corner of Naito Parkway and SW Ash St.)

How to get there: Waterfront Bicycles is within walking distance of The Nines. Or, if you have your bike already, well, need we say more?

What to bring: A bike, a helmet, your ID, and some money.

Pre-registration is required for this activity.
