Willamette River Paddle
Join fellow attendees on a kayak tour circling Ross Island in downtown Portland.
Just across the river from the Nines, we will meet at Alder Creek’s Boathouse, located in a very unique LEED Gold certified building, The RiverEast center. From there, we will walk down to a floating dock on the Willamette river and hop in some kayaks for a guided paddle around Ross Island.
The inside of Ross Island offers very pleasant paddling along with views of Blue Herons fishing, peregrine falcons nesting and maybe a Red Tail Hawk snatching a baby Merganser right off the water. It’s like watching National Geographic right in the city! We will cruise up and around the island near some cool floating homes and then hustle on back downstream checking out downtown from a unique perspective along the way.
