GreenTools Government Confluence
Location: Bellevue City Hall
Cost: Free to Living Future attendees, $25 for non-attendees
King County and the Cascadia Region Green Building Council (CRGBC) are co-hosting this sustainability ‘meeting of the minds’ for government staff and officials in the region. This is a unique opportunity for exercising collaboration and creativity about creating sustainable communities with your nearby and not-so-nearby regional neighbors. It’s also your one-stop shop to learn about the most cutting-edge topics, replicable case studies, and tools – including the unveiling of GreenTools’ “Toolkit2” – which will become every municipality’s favorite sustainability planning tool this year! Come to learn, be inspired, and make lasting connections.
AIA Seattle What Makes It Green? Awards
Location: Bertha Knight Landes Room, Seattle City Hall
Cost: Free
The 2010 WMIG? program recognizes projects that demonstrate the highest accomplishment in environmentally sustainable architecture, combining inspired design, systems analysis, and performance evaluation under the domains of Planet, People and Prosperity. Living Future attendees will have the opportunity to engage in this awards program in two ways:
Live Jury Interviews, Bertha Knight Landes Room at Seattle City Hall, May 5, 1 – 4 pm. Eavesdrop on the dialogue between shortlisted design teams and the jury during the open jury interviews.
People’s Choice Awards - Weigh in with your selection from the WMIG? entries for a People’s Choice Award. Entries will be available for review and voting during LF 2010 in the 5th Avenue Room.
Living Building Road Show
Location: The Vashon Room, The Westin Seattle
Cost: $230 for Living Future attendees
