PURPOSE:  The Branch Summit is an annual gathering of Cascadia Green Building Council’s volunteer leaders from around the bioregion.  It is the one time that these leaders meet in-person to share ideas and inspiration and receive training to better serve local green building communities.  This year, our leaders will gather in Vancouver before the opening of Living Future 2011.

GOALS: What makes Cascadia a powerful bioregional instrument for change is the diversity of people and markets touched by our volunteers and programs across the bioregion.  The focus of the 2011 Branch Summit will be empowerment of the branches to lead the green transformation of their local markets and to speak with a unified voice in support of Cascadia’s mission and initiatives.  The summit program will focus on building greater cohesion among the branches, and developing a clarion shared voice that celebrates our diversity, but amplifies and advances our shared vision and goals.

PROGRAM:  The Summit will begin on evening of Tuesday, April 26 and end where Living Future 2011 begins, Wednesday afternoon, APRIL 27.  Tuesday evening will be a social event. The Wednesday program will kick off with breakfast and remarks from Cascadia CEO Jason McLennan, followed by leadership training from a professional trainer, as well as ample time for sharing time and ideas among branch leaders.
