Sustaining Sustainability - The Practice and Nature of Inspiring a Continual Process of Living System Design

Presenters:

Bill Reed, Principal, Integrative Design Collaborative and Regenesis

There is a difference between Regenerative Design (Living System Design) and Regenerative Development.
Regenerative Design addresses the damage we’ve caused and typically ends when the project is built.  Life however, is a continual process.  It is developmental (evolutionary) in nature.  “Development” continually creates new potential.  The optimal design process can inspire the continual regeneration of the both the health of people and the health of the places in which they live and work. Through practice processes, case studies, and experiential engagement we will explore design projects as earth acupuncture points – to benefit the social and ecological whole.

Audience: all levels
