Living Future 07; 1st Annual Regional Conference Cascadia Region Green Building Council (Cascadia) and AIA Seattle Committee on the Environment (AIA COTE) present the first annual, regional 2-day conference: Living Future 2007

Ed Mazria, FAIA, mastermind of the 2030 Challenge kicks off the AIA COTE What Makes it GREEN? and Cascadia's first annual regional celebration of green building at the Seattle Center. Jason F. McLennan will roll out Cascadia's new initiatives including our Cascadia Fellowship Program. We'll introduce the Living Future Competition - prices for best Living Building Design; $1,500 for students/Emerging Green Builders. You'll learn about Pharos and USGBC's Living Building Competition Rules. Other keynotes include Bob Berkebile, FAIA, BNIM Architects and Kevin Hydes, Chair of the Board of the World Green Building Council and more than two dozen regional sustainability heroes! Living Future Design Competition ; Register by February 15th! The AIA Seattle Committee on the Environment (COTE), along with the Cascadia Region Green Building Council is issuing a challenge to all entries to build in a way that will provide all of us with a sustainable future. Competition cash prizes will be awarded to the applicant teams from within the Cascadia bioregion (OR, WA, ID, MT, BC or AK) who best meet the Living Building Challenge.
