Call for Information – Are you working on a Living Building Challenge project? We'd like to know! By registering your project, Cascadia is better equipped to promote your project, both through our media efforts and speaking engagements. We'd also like to hear about 'confidential' projects, too. In sharing, you grow the Living Building Challenge Community, which helps set the framework for future Living Building Challenge protocol and updates. Please email Darby with questions or project information.
If you have yet to enjoy a session, why wait? The program is available on-demand and provides a means to develop the diverse and intensive skill set needed to effect transformative change in the building industry. Take the session quiz to receive credit towards Living Building Leader designation. Sessions are $75 for Cascadia members, $90 for non-members. More Info
Building Materials Questionnaire
Use the Questionnaire to help evaluate the products you source and understand potentially hidden impacts beyond typical metrics of cost, performance and aesthetics. The questions are reflective of the evaluation protocol found in the Living Building Challenge and the Pharos Project Framework indicators.
If you are a manufacturer or product representative, please file a questionnaire for each product or product line offered. If you are a consumer, please ask manufacturers and product representatives with whom you interact to complete the questionnaire. As questionnaires are completed and returned, we will add them to an online and freely accessible repository. More Info

2009 Nature in Neighborhoods Restoration and Enhancement Grants
The Portland metropolitan area is expanding. This growth increases pressure on water quality and fish and wildlife habitat. How can our region achieve a balance between development and conservation? What are the best ways to improve ecological functions within our growing urban areas? How can existing neighborhoods increase the presence of nature? The Metro Council is seeking creative answers to these questions through the Nature in Neighborhoods capital grants program. Pre-applications due January 7, 2009
