Let Your Voice Be Heard for an Improved WA State Energy Code!
An improved Washington Energy Code should have been implemented July 1st. It
was adopted by the State Building Code Council, but has been delayed and is under
attack by opponents who have distorted the costs and ignored the benefits of better
energy standards.
Your input in this decision is important. We ask you to urge the Code
Council to implement the code no later than January 1, 2011.
September 24 is the deadline for comments.
Submit written comments to: John Cochran, Council Chair, P.O. Box 41014, Olympia, WA 98504-1014, e-mail krista.braaksma@ga.wa.gov, fax (360) 586-9383, by September 24, 2010.
Even better if you can attend the public hearing in Olympia on Friday the 24th at 10:00 at the Senate Hearing Room 2, Cherberg Building, Washington State Capitol Campus and deliver your comments in person.
